The Client
Kerri wanted to remortgage as the fixed interest rate on her mortgage was ending in 10 days, meaning her rate would jump up by 4%, meaning an additional payment of £600 a month.
The Challenge
As Kerri's rate was ending in such a short space of time, the banks she approached directly couldn’t see her for a week, let alone get the transaction completed in that time.
The Solution
Fortunately, Kerri was really organised and was able to send her documents to us on the same day. We advised her to instruct or recommended solicitors on that day and also to begin the remortgage process. We submitted the application on the Tuesday and received a mortgage offer the very next day. The lender was able to carry out an automated valuation of her property, so there was no need to book a surveyor. They assessed the documents we sent and were happy to offer the loan the next day. The offer was sent to the solicitor, and as no searches were required, the solicitor was able to draw upon the funds a day after the fixed rate expired! Kerri was very happy.
